Glamorous City Living

Since Drew switched to a British school this year our morning routine has changed quite a bit.  He wears a uniform and we use public transportation to get there and back.

It's different commuting with a kid in a city.  While it doesn't take a long time for us to get to his school, it's usually an adventure. From dodging other pedestrians and motorists on the busy city streets. To navigating the tube station halls against traffic to switch platforms and then cramming into a crowded train.

I felt like I was being reannointed after being away for two weeks. On our first day back I had a VERY close call with a motorcyclist.  I froze in panic, he cussed me and bystanders stared in horror.

Today, I was splashed when a passing bus drove through standing rain in the street gutter. (Just like in the movies.) Drew was quick to point out, "don't worry mom, it's so hot in the tube, it'll be like your in a dryer".

Yes, living in a big city is quite glamorous. Good Morning London!
